While studying art at the University of Massachusetts in the early 1990s, I majored in painting, but I eagerly pursued sculpture as well: bronze casting, steel welding, ceramics, wood carving, and assemblage. After I graduated, I continued to explore the medium of welded (and brazed) steel for half a decade. I have dabbled in site-specific installation. These days I mostly work in two-dimensional mediums (painting, drawing, and printmaking) and music, but not a day goes by that I don’t appreciate the hand-eye-mind connections that I forged as a sculptor. Below are some examples of my work in the three-dimensional mediums.
